Summer!

Summer is here! Almost done with this season's soccer. Ryan's team already wrapped up their season; they lost more than they won but who's counting? Aidan has 3 games this weekend (some rescheduled due to rain) and then we're done.

The boys got their own MP3 players courtesy of my work (they were freebies with an office supply order!?) and think they are just the coolest:

And just so I don't feel like I'm playing favorites here's a pic of Ryan at his graduation (from preschool.... I know I know....) His expression cracks me up, sort of saying, why, why am I here? We are celebrating what exactly?

But now vacation is here! Hopefully we'll get some opportunities to go up north, we're thinking of maybe over the 4th with my sisters. Things are a little hectic with Megan and Paul's wedding coming up the weekend after but we'll see. The boys are pretty pleased just playing with their friends on the block, so I'm thankful for that. What age do they lay around all day complaining of boredom? I'm sure it's right around the corner.

On the Audible Heirlooms side of things, I'm excited to test out a new microphone I came upon. I think it's really going to make a difference! I've also revamped my site a bit. After talking to a few people about it, the general consensus is I need to offer more of a finished product; a "here, this is what you get!" finale to the sale. So I'm going to be working on that this weekend, along with another Scrapbooking job my dear Aunt Eileen referred me for. It's a cookbook, with over 40 recipes submitted by 9 friends. I'll scrapbook each recipe and a page about each contributor and it is going to be a shower gift for their friend. How cool is that?! By the time I'm done I'm certain I will want one for myself.

I promise to be back again soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Meet Samantha!

We got a puppy this weekend!!! Her name is Sam/Samantha and she's 7 weeks old. She's a silver lab (which, depending on the source, is either a recessive gene or a gene pool that once met a weimeraner) with spots of white and gorgeous blue eyes. She is mostly grey/silver, with a bit of white on her nose that goes down to her belly; she has grey front paws/nails and white back paws/nails, and a grey tail with a teeny white tip. Adorable! She's really cool looking! Check her out!

Happy Anniversary!

Today, Doug and I have been married 7 years! We had a lovely night last night and might even try and sqeeze a movie (American Gangster! how romantic!) before picking the kids up today.

I'm tired of updating my gallery so I've decided to keep all my layouts on here. It's the first real motivation I've had to blog at all, so I'm going with it.

These layouts were all inspired by someone else's - in fact it was for a magazine call, SBE is doing a "Make it your own" style book and asked for submissions. Copying makes creating much faster for me so I did 4 in about 2 hours. However straight copying also isn't "making it my own" so therefore, none of my lovely pages will be appearing in SBE anytime soon.

This one I'm proud of mostly because the photograph seriously takes my breath away! It was taken early morning and Aidan zeroing in on me in the middle of all those kids, well, that doesn't happen to my camera/me often.

This is hard to read - it says: This is the Face... when Aidan is mad at me but we're in public and he has to control himself" ha ha! He'll love this page when he's 30!

I love my Mom!

A big thanks to Erin Clarkson, Laura Kurz, Celine Navarro, Yvonne Wunderlich for creating the great inspiration pages for SBE.
